---is a term that can mean many things to many people. At its most basic, it is travel respectful of the places visited. It is a recognition that tourism has an impact, and it is a commitment to make those effects as positive as possible. We strive in our operation to support the worlds we wander, whether they be wild or peopled, hoping to enhance the prospects of future denizens and visitors to have the same pristine experiences. The concept is simple but the issue complex. Should you choose to travel with us, we invite you to participate in this endeavor and consider the following voluntary program as an easy way to help make a difference.

Dollars a Day for Conservation

What: The Dollars a Day for Conservation is a program where you have an option to add a dollar for each day of your trip with us, which are passed directly through to the conservation organizations below. We'll match each of your dollars and take care of the bookkeeping. It's simple but it does make a difference.

How: Your invoice from us will reflect a donation for the number of days of your trip. The contribution is strictly voluntary and if you already have a preferred cause or elect not to participate in this program, simply deduct the amount from the total.

Who: While there are many worthy organizations, we at Adventure Alaska have chosen the following to receive the donated monies equally:

                      The Alaska Conservation Foundation
                      The Alaska Institute for Sustainable Recreation and Tourism
                      The Nature Conservancy of Alaska
