Eagle, Alaska

Eagle, Alaska

Located on the banks of the mighty Yukon River near the Canadian border, Eagle is a remote outpost of about 200 people steeped in the history and stark beauty that so define the vast Interior. A timeless town of log cabins and those that have chosen the wilderness as their home, this is bush Alaska where the winters are severe but the summers magnificent. Overlooking the river are our several historic gold rush structures, including cabins, a dining facility, and a small warehouse containing all the gear needed for discovery of the area's rivers and nameless mountains, including the adjoining 2.5 million acre Yukon-Charley National Preserve. Our scheduled trips include the Yukon, but hiking possibilities abound and the exciting water of the famous Fortymile or Charley awaits you, our guides, and a choice of rafts, canoes, kayaks, or riverboat charter.
